Durbanville Golf Club in association with Pure Motion Golf are excited to welcome you to the Durbanville Junior Classic (DJC) to compete for the Anton Bezuidenhout Junior Trophy. The prestigious Anton Bezuidenhout Trophy will be awarded once again, to the overall best Gross winner of the day.
This year is shaping up to be just as exciting as last year.
ABOUT ANTON
Anton played an integral part in the growth and development of not only Durbanville Golf Club but golf in general. He was an avid, competitive and talented golfer who loved the game. Anton represented Western Province over many years with distinction.
We would like to keep him close to our hearts and minds. Holding this yearly event in his name will do just that!

18 years and younger who are course ready. Non handicapped golfers may play 9 holes.

WHO CAN PLAY
All juniors aged 18 years and younger as at 11 December 2023. We welcome juniors from all clubs around the country.
Those who have an official Handicap Index may enter the 18 hole event.
Non handicapped golfers who are course ready may participate in the 9 hole short course event.

DETAILS:
The 9 Hole Competition (Non handicapped golfers)
For non handicapped players who will play off a shortened course. Players may only play to a maximum of 3 over the Par on each hole after which they MUST pick up their ball and enter a score on their card of 4 over par with a ring around the number.
The 18 Hole Competition (Golfers with an Official Handicap Index)
Players will be placed in Divisions based on their Handicap Index (HI) on the day of the event. DGC and PMGA reserve the right to merge divisions if there are less than 5 players in a division.
BOYS
Division A: up to 7.9 HI (Strokeplay) – WHITE TEES, U13 (Strokeplay) – RED TEES
Division B: 8.0 to 14.9 HI (Strokeplay) – WHITE TEES, U13 (Strokeplay) – RED TEES
Division C: 15.0 upwards HI (Stableford) – WHITE TEES, U13 (Stableford) – RED TEES
GIRLS
Division A: up to 6.5 HI (Strokeplay) – BLUE TEES
Division B: 6.6 to 17.0 HI (Strokeplay) – RED TEES
Division C: 17.1 upwards HI (Stableford) – RED TEES
The Playing Handicap for all players will be 100% Course Handicap with a maximum of 36 Course Handicap.
Starting from both the 1st and 10th tees from 09h30 onwards. The golf will be followed by refreshments and prizegiving.

COMPETITION RULES AND TEE TIMES
The competition will be played under the Rules of Golf as approved by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club together with the Bye-laws of Durbanville Golf Club.
The tee times will be published on 08 December 2023 and are subject to change.
The Run Of Events for the day will be published to assist you with planning the day. It is subject to change so please check back here from time to time.
COSTS
R170.00 for the 18 hole competition
R100.00 for the 9 hole competition
The cost includes: Entry fee, goodie bag, prizes and light snacks after the game.
Registration and payment can be done online (see below) and is strictly due in advance.

No refunds will be given for cancellations within 48 hours of the event (i.e. after 09h30 on Sat 9 Dec) or for non-attendance.
