To be eligible for Junior Academy membership, the junior must take lessons in one of our programmes; either Grassroots, Group 7+, or Individual or Individual Family Sharing. Private packages with coaches are not eligible programmes. Only Junior Academy members will receive the benefits and perks of significantly reduced lesson rates and discounts (OOM, Holiday Programme and AIM), etc.
For those who require flexibility and cannot commit to a programme for the year (monthly set lessons as per the JAM Fee schedule below) are welcome to arrange private package lessons with our coaches, but are not eligible to be Junior Academy members and receive JAM benefits and discounts.

FAMILY SHARING | SPECIALISED |
We will assess to ensure the lesson sharing is a suitable option. Siblings should ideally be of similar age/skill level and can be a maximum of 3. Siblings sharing individual lessons pay the individual rate for the first child and just 20% of that cost for each additional child. All children must be registered Junior Academy members. | These lessons only run during public school terms but the coaches will always arrange 4 x 30 minute lessons per month so the days may vary but will accommodate the child’s schedule as best as possible. |

Cost per child per month (4 x 30 minute lessons): R1573 (Jan – Dec 2025) |

The tables below explain the expected session and billing schedule for each month in 2025 for GRASSROOTS, GROUPS 7+, INDIVIDUALS and FAMILY SHARING (2 children). These reflect the minimum number of sessions that are scheduled – if additional lessons are taken they will be added at the end of the month. The number of sessions are subject to change (dependent on public school holidays, weather, etc). TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By submitting the Junior Academy Membership (JAM) application, I agree to the terms and conditions for the Junior I enroled/will enrol for the programme and lessons with the Pure Motion Golf Academy.
SAFETY AND SAFEGUARDING:
Pure Motion Golf Academy takes the safety of our junior members seriously and hence our coaches are all Guardian Certified. With this in mind, we would like to remind parents of the following as we all work together to keep them #SaferTogether:
- Parents of juniors under 16 must “hand over” their child to the coach or if the coach is teaching, to the office and should collect their children after the lesson.
- Add our Office number +27 76 247 0501 to your contacts list so you can let us know if you are going to be late collecting your child.
- When enrolling your child, ensure to include any information we may need to know about.
REGISTRATION, FEES AND PENALTIES:
- JAM Membership runs from January to December each year and ends on 31 December.
- JAM Fees include the cost of balls and other equipment needed such as clubs and training aids if required by the junior, for the duration of the lesson.
- The non-refundable Annual Membership Fee of R316 is payable upon registration. Pro rata membership fees are available for registrations after January 2025. Should you join mid month, the full joining month membership fee will be due but only monthly lessons from the join date will be charged for. You will be charged within 3 days of joining for that month’s remaining lessons.
- JAM lesson scheduling for all programmes is based on Public School Terms. Private School Terms will not be taken into account. We do not schedule JAM lessons during the Public School Term Holidays. We run up to 4 Holiday Programmes during each school holiday but if you prefer, you may arrange additional individual lessons during the school holidays with your coach. These additional lessons will be charged at the JAM rates. Our online calendar is kept up to date with details of the School Terms, public holidays and events – you can view the calendar here.
- JAM Fees (monthly lesson costs) for all programmes/golf lessons are set in advance as per the JAMFees monthly tables which can be viewed here. This will assist you in budgeting upfront.
- JAM Billing – fees are billed (in advance) at the end of the month for the next month and are payable within 7 days.
- If you require schedule and/or cost flexibility we recommend that you do not join JAM but rather buy a private Junior 5 x 30 Min Lesson Package @ R1330 (up to end Feb and R1410 from 1 Mar). Coaches will then be able to schedule each of the 5 Lessons (within an 8 week period) in consultation with you so that schedules for parents, juniors and coaches are accommodated. Please remember that packages are not JAM which means you do not qualify for the JAM Perks and discounts.
To keep the JAM programmes affordable, costs per lesson have been calculated based on the junior participating for the year and that some school terms will have more lessons than others. This calculation requires stringent rules around Late Arrivals, Missed Lessons and Cancellations.
LATE ARRIVALS and MISSED LESSONS:
- Late Arrivals will result in receiving only the remaining time of the lesson. The Junior is required to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before the commencement of the golf lesson to check in and warm up.
- Missed Lessons and Once off lesson Cancellations: While we appreciate that it is unfortunate that children fall ill or have unforeseen commitments that may interfere with lessons, our golf coaches commit to being at the range during the scheduled lesson and their remuneration remains payable. If the missed lesson or cancellation is due to an emergency (injury or illness), we may consider crediting that lesson if rescheduling is not possible. Otherwise, any (non-emergency) cancellations and missed lessons will be forfeited and you will be billed for them. We will however, be reasonable in special circumstances so please contact us as soon as you know your child will not attend the lesson. Written notice to us is preferred, but parents may also contact the coach directly or you can call/WhatsApp the office at +27 76 247 0501.
- Pure Motion Golf operates on a strict schedule and are unable to accommodate substitute lessons for Grassroots Group or Group 7+ members. The coaches will make best efforts to reschedule Individual lessons should you give them adequate notice and if their schedules accommodate it, but it cannot be guaranteed. JAM Schedule Changes: Advance notice of 14 days should be given to the coach for any changes to the Programme (lessons type) or the scheduled day or time that your junior is scheduled for.
- In the event of inclement weather, we will make every effort to continue JAM lessons indoors. Many exercises can successfully be done indoors but this is venue dependent. The coach will contact you on the morning of your child’s lesson to advise if the lesson will go ahead or not. If we are unable to host the programme indoors, we will advise you on a date for the replacement lesson. Lessons cancelled by us due to the weather will only be credited if our schedules do not allow for a replacement lesson.
TEMPORARY and FULL CANCELLATIONS:
- Temporary cancellations (1 month): If during the year your child will not be attending lessons for an extended period due to exam time, please notify us at least one calendar month in advance via email here. You will be billed for the “missed month” and on condition you return the following month it will be credited. We will not hold the day and time slot for temporary cancellations. Please be aware that because space is limited in groups and individual lesson slots are limited, there is a waiting list and when you return, the original slot may have been filled and you may be offered a different day and time. The annual registration fee will be waived for re-enrollment in the same year.
- Full cancellation: Cancellation of JAM membership/participation in the Programmes requires one calendar month’s written notice to us here. Notice must be given before the first day of the final month of lessons. You will be billed for all lessons during that cancellation month. Example: If you decide to cancel your membership so that your last month of lessons will be May, you must give written notice before the end of April. You will receive your final bill at the end of April for your cancellation of May.
DRESS CODE CLUB/RANGE RULES:
- It is club/facility rules that all children wear closed shoes/takkies when attending lessons or playing at the club. T-shirts can be worn but no tracksuits.
DEFAULT:
- Should the parent/legal guardian fail to pay any fees, penalties or any other monies punctually on the due date or should the parent/legal guardian commit or permit any breach of the conditions of this agreement, Pure Motion Golf Academy shall have the right to give Seven (7) calendar days’ notice in writing to the parent/legal guardian, to terminate this agreement. Such termination shall not affect the right hereby reserved to Pure Motion Golf Academy to recover all monies that may be due to it by the parent/legal guardian calculated to the date of such termination and for any damage arising by reason of such breach of the parent/legal guardian, including any loss Pure Motion Golf Academy may sustain due to premature termination of this agreement.
